2017 Christmas Bird Count Training

December 09, 2017 - Phoenix, AZ

Offered in partnership with the Arizona Field Ornithologists, this free training covers the nuts and bolts of participating in the world's longest running community science project, Christmas Bird Counts.

The workshop will be about three hours long and begin at 8am with a 1-hour classroom-based presentation followed by an excursion into the Rio Salado Habitat Restoration Area.  Please come prepared with layered clothing, comfortable shoes, paper/pen for taking field notes, and snacks/drinks. Loaner binoculars will be available.
