Audubon Arizona Recruiting Volunteers for Nature Education and More

You can help children connect to nature and help the environment by volunteering at Audubon Arizona this fall.

Volunteers are needed for the new academic year at the Nina Mason Pulliam Rio Salado Audubon Center.

Audubon Arizona Volunteer Orientation    

Date:                     Saturday, September 10, 2016

Time:                     10:00 – 11:00 a.m.

Location:              Nina Mason Pulliam Rio Salado Audubon Center Library

                               3131 S. Central Ave.

Directions:            heading south from downtown Phoenix on Central Avenue, take the first turn to the east (left) immediately after crossing the Salt River bridge, which is the parking lot entry

Audubon volunteer roles available:

School Field Trip Assistant - have fun helping Audubon naturalists teach K-8 or high school students about Arizona's wildlife; training is provided; trips typically occur 9 a.m. to noon on weekdays. A background check is required for this position.

Sixth Annual Enchanted Trail Fall Festival, October 21-23 – join us for “nature by night”—a pre-Halloween festival focused on Arizona's nocturnal animals; many volunteer opportunities available all three nights

Audubon Center staffing – friendly two-person teams needed to meet/greet at the front desk:  answering questions, assisting staff with special projects and activities; weekday and Saturday shifts available
