Potluck and Presentation at the Appleton-Whittell Research Ranch

October 14, 2017 - Elgin, AZ

RSVP with Suzanne Wilcox at swilcox@audubon.org

Featuring Chuck Hanson: “Come with me on a three-month safari to East Africa of the 1960’s. Although much of the area looks like SE Arizona, it is (was) populated by an amazing and diverse megafauna. The safari is mostly in the savannahs of Kenya and Tanzania, but we also go north into the vast desert area of northern Kenya to join the Royal Geographical Society’s Turkana Expedition. A safari such as this will never be possible again, for reasons you will soon see!”

RSVP is required. Bring a dish to share, adult beverages. We provide tea, coffee and place settings. For those who have never been to the Research Ranch before can email Suzanne Wilcox for map directions.

All Potluck & Presentations are provided though Living Gently on the Land, and are held on the second Saturday of the month, Sept. through May with the exception of December and begin at 5pm.
