Butterflies & Beer - Magnificent Monarchs
Special Evening Program
Wednesday, October 29th, 5:30pm-7:30pm
It’s the middle of the week and the perfect time for Winged-Wednesday! Audubon Arizona and the Southwest Monarch Study are proud to present a special evening program featuring butterfly expert Karen Oberhauser. While enjoying a cold brew or a glass of wine, learn about butterflies: why this iconic insect is in danger and how we can move beyond the documentation of decline to help.
Karen is a Professor in the Department of Fisheries, Wildlife, and Conservation Biology at the University of Minnesota. She is passionate about conserving the world’s biodiversity, and believes that the connections her projects promote between monarchs, people, and the natural world lead to meaningful conservation action. In 2013, Karen received a White House Champion of Change award for her work with citizen science.
