Community Building at the Nina Mason Pulliam Rio Salado Audubon Center

Introducing our community-use space and community art showcase program

As part of our new community building efforts, Audubon Southwest is launching a community art showcase program in its community-use space at the Nina Mason Pulliam Rio Salado Audubon Center in the heart of Phoenix.

Community-Use Space

Funded by a generous grant from The Kemper and Ethel Marley Foundation, we have transformed our once empty Event Hall into a more welcoming and practical community space. During our normal hours of operation, this space will be available for free, accessible to all on a first-come-first-served basis when not in use for other programs or facility rentals. There are a few different areas for use, including small coffee tables for one-on-one discussions, a lounge area for casual conversation, a reflection circle with a television and mini nature library, and a small workstation for small teams to meet or work. The room will always be filled with incredible local art curated by The Sagrado. Visit our website for our hours of operation, and stop by when you need a break from your day.

Community Art Showcase Program

Audubon Southwest is delighted to announce a new partnership with local gallery The Sagrado. This partnership comes in the form of a Community Art Showcase Program we are hosting monthly at Nina Mason Pulliam Rio Salado Audubon Center. Each month, The Sagrado will curate and exhibit a selection of local artist talent in our Event Hall. This program will be at no cost to artists themselves, allowing The Sagrado and Audubon to showcase the incredible artistic talents of the region. To participate as an artist, send your inquiry to The Sagrado. Anyone is welcome to visit Rio Salado Audubon Center to explore the amazing art on display at each month's new Community Art Showcase.

Facility Rental Program Discounts

These improvements are connected to our facility rental programs, which have been expanded to include community discounts to support our ever-growing local community and partner. Private parties and corporations renting our space now directly support 50% discounts for all non-profits, or 100% discounts if your community group operates on a budget below $200,000 per year. We have three rooms available for rentals including a small conference room, a medium-sized classroom, and our large Event Hall, each room has its own unique feel and included amenities. Optional add-ons let you customize additional needs to your event. Visit our website to learn more about facility rentals at Rio Salado Audubon Center and how our community use discounts work.

We look forward to seeing you soon! Check out our hours of operation here.
