With the ongoing construction along Central Ave through the South Phoenix community for the South Central Exentsion/Downtown Hub, trail access in areas of the park are limited. You are unable to pass underneath Central Ave bridge or 7th St bridge due to the construction. If you park at the Rio Salado Audubon Center on the Southeast corner of Central Ave or at the parking lot of the Friendship Garden on the Northeast corner of Central Ave, you can only explore the areas between Central Ave and 7th St bridge.
